LED for Visual Target Identification

Looking for an LED (preferably green) that can show a small spot of light on a target approximately 21 inches away. The spot size is not that important and can vary from ½ to 3 inches in diameter. The spot needs to be visible in the daylight, but not direct sunlight. Our currently electrical system uses M12 four and five pin connectors, so that type of connection would be preferable. We have tried lasers, but they have a beam that is too narrow and can be hidden by irregularities in the target.
