Help Finding Twisted Pair Wire PN
Hello,
Can someone help me find a suitable DigiKey part number
for the following application? There are so many part numbers and most
of them seem to come in giant spools of 1000 ft.Looking for a 30-50 ft length of 20 ga twisted pair
(single pair - 2 conductors) stranded copper wiring suitable for CANbus
communication in an automobile.The application is to run these wires from the car’s ECU
in the trunk to some gauges in the cabin (VADpro 15). I’d like it to
have some insulation to protect it from the elements.If someone could recommend me a part number that would be awesome!!! Thank you!

It is not an equipment grounding conductor and should not be used as such, it isn’t designed to handle that much electricity. It is connected to the shielding of the wire and with the shielding forms a Faraday cage. The drain wire transfers small electrical impulses and unwanted electrical noise away from the main wires of the cable. It should be grounded on one end.
